User-Driven Evolution: A Holistic Approach to UX/UI Enhancement

To refine our product, we conducted extensive research, engaging users through online questionnaires (70 users) and face-to-face interviews (10 users) after assessing the old application. Additionally, we valued input from entrepreneurs. This amalgamation of insights from 80 users forms the foundation for redefining our application, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with both user needs and business objectives. The journey continues as we strive to deliver an enhanced and tailored user experience.

In terms of design, I chose three principles to guide my work: clean, modern, and light.

When designing the application, I drew inspiration from the Airbnb app since, similar to Airbnb, Travel Quest allows users to either play a game or create one and earn from it. Characteristics from the Airbnb app that I incorporated include a character menu similar to the main page of the app, featuring illustrated icons (1) that allow users to filter games based on their nature (outdoor, thinking, and more). Additionally, there's scrolling and search functionality reminiscent of the Airbnb app.

Another feature is the prominent display of reviews (2) throughout the app to highlight the most successful games, those that many have played. Also, there's text to provide an idea for those looking for a game to know that it is indeed successful.

In terms of font, I chose Raleway, which has a serious, clean, and clear aspect but also a slightly playful touch reminiscent of fonts from computer games of the '90s.

At the top of the main page (3), there's an option to enter a game code so that if someone has purchased a game in advance for a group, it's easy to reach the game with a button click for all group members without searching in the app to save users' time.

On the user's page, there's a "Become a Creator" button (4) through which users can build a creator page and games. After building a creator page, subsequent visits to the user's page allow users to click on the "Create a New Game" button, leading to a flow to create a new game.

I tried to make the game creation process simple and easy through multiple choices and minimal text to guide users through the process.
